I am a Consultant in Adult & Addiction Psychiatry and Columbia Global Mental Health scholar for the Arab region. I qualified as a medical doctor in London in 2002 and completed my training in Psychiatry in 2010. I moved to Lebanon in 2012 to take up academic and clinical roles. I am currently based within the department of Psychiatry at the American University of Beirut and involved in the developments of clinical services, research activities and educational efforts.
I am currently focused on developing effective multidisciplinary services for patients with severe mental disorders with a view to improve outcomes, particularly in developing countries.
